Poland Syndrome Case #2130
Before
After
49 year old male with right side affected Poland Syndrome who had undergone an attempt at reconstruction as a late teenager overseas. He had complete absence of his pectoralis major muscle. Instead of having a custom-made silicone implant to establish better chest symmetry, he elected to undergo liposuction and fat harvesting from his torso and fat grafting to his right chest. He underwent three liters of liposuction out of which 400cc of fat was harvested and strategically grafted to his right chest. The after photos a year later show acceptable and improved chest symmetry without the use of an implant to correct Poland Syndrome chest wall asymmetry.
