24 yo with previous history of traumatic nasal injury resulting in the deformity seen here as well as difficulty breathing from both nares. Patient underwent open septorhinoplasty with use of his septal cartilage to buttress and reinforce the surgically straightened septum and prevent a future deviation as cartilage has “memory” and will return to its original shape if not further secured and reinforced. He also needed spreader grafts (cartilage grafts) to improve his internal nasal airway passages and bony reconstruction of his nasal deformity. The residual tip swelling will subsite with further time – these are six month post op results and expect for the appearance to further improve with the passage of time. His airway and breathing ability has dramatically improved and remains stable.
