I am a transgender female to male person who chose to have a double mastectomy. I have a remote history of breast cancer with a previous mastectomy that was complicated when the original saline implant burst and became impinged. Repairing that and matching the scarred side to the normal side required extra-ordinary time, attention and expertise. The wonderful surgery that transformed my torso from female to male is, of course, primary – the results are outstanding.
