Direct to Implant Breast Reconstruction Case #5727
Before
After

63 year old patient with stage II right breast cancer successfully completed neoadjuvant chemotherapy. She chose to have a double mastectomy with immediate, direct-to-implant reconstruction using under-the-breast (inframammary) incisions. Because of her thin skin, the implants were placed underneath the chest muscle (subpectoral) for better coverage. A human acellular dermal matrix (ADM), a type of (tissue graft) was used to support the lower part of the 385cc smooth round moderate plus profile silicone implants. The surgery achieved her desired full B cup size.
