Breast Reconstruction Procedures Case #5384
Before
After

38 year old patient who had self-palpated a right breast mass that proved to be an aggressive locally advanced breast cancer. She completed the full course of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (note chemotherapy port at left chest, subclavian vein) and followed by bilateral skin sparing mastectomy and same time placement of bilateral tissue expanders and human acellular dermal matrix. She then had a series of radiation treatments to the right chest wall and axilla followed by progressive expansion of the tissue expanders. Several months later she underwent her second stage in breast reconstruction where the tissue expanders were removed and replaced with breast implants. She desired to have larger breasts than her original size and therefore 500cc high profile silicone gel breast implants were chosen to achieve her desired 34 full D cup breasts.
